Charlotte, a gifted young harpist, began her musical journey at the age of five under the mentorship of Elena Mashakova, an esteemed alumna of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and a protégé of the legendary Vera Dulova. By the age of eight, Charlotte was honing her skills with Olga Shevelevich, a distinguished alumna of the St. Petersburg Conservatory and a veteran musician with 17 years in the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra under Valery Gergiev.
Charlotte’s talent was first recognized when she won First Place in the American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music in 2022. Her career has since flourished internationally. Following her performance at Carnegie Weill Hall in June 2023, she has secured over 14 gold prizes in various music competitions. Among her accolades are a Gold Medal in the 5th Vienna International Music Competition and First Prize in the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition, culminating in an upcoming performance at the prestigious Walt Disney BP Music Hall in July.
At just 11 years old, Charlotte became the youngest member of the Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra’s advanced group, showcasing her remarkable abilities and dedication. With her deep passion for the harp and unwavering commitment to her craft, Charlotte Ngo is poised to enchant audiences around the world with her music.
